Lesson 9 : Mr. Wood Teaches a Science Lesson

一、教学目标

1、能够正确听、说、认、读temperature ,degree ,zero ,ill等表达温度以及感受的单词，并且能够在真实的语境中运用这些单词进行表达。

2、能够运用情境创设法、任务驱动法、自主合作探究法、以旧带新法和多媒体技术直观的学习如何询问和表达气温，达到让学生自然交流，综合运用目的。

3、通过情景创设，让学生能够根据天气选择正确的活动，以及穿戴方式，激发和培养学生学习英语的欲望和乐于运用英语交流的态度和能力。

二、重难点

重点：掌握询问温度的用语“What’s the temperature now?”和询问某人的体温的句型“What’s your temperature?”及其答语。

难点：能够理解degree的正确用法。

多媒体课件、录音机、磁带、导学案

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming up Free talk

Step 2 Presentation

1、T:Look at the thermometer（温度计），please tell me “What is the temperature now?”

把放在窗台上的温度计拿给学生观察，试着说一说。 教师教授“temperature（温度）、degree（度数）、”这三个单词，。

2、数字复习

3、let’s guess

分小组进行。完成导学案，用本课句型进行互问互答，最后在班级内进行交流展示，操练““What is the temperature now？”这个句型。

Student A: What’s the temperature? Student B: It’s ________degrees.

3、Take your own temperature in groups.

小组活动，用体温计测量自己的体温，并互相进行交流展示。 教师适时引导句型“What’s your temperature?” Student C: What’s your temperature? Student D: It’s ________degrees.

4、学习文本对话 T：“Today, Mr. Wood has a science lesson, let’s go and have a look.”

听录音，读课文，完成Part 1合作探究题。

NO.1: What lesson does Mr. Wood teach?

NO.2: What’s the chicken’s temperature?

NO.3: Is the chicken ill?

教师借此引导学习句型“What’s the chicken’s temperature?”和“ill，生病”这个单词。

Step 3 Practice

Do a weather forecast.（出示课件）

将课件中出示的内容以天气预报的形式展现出来，并配上天气预报的背景音乐烘托气氛。

1、 How is the weather in Beijing? It's snowy.It's cold.

What's the tempreature? It's zero degrees in Beijing.

2、How is the weather in London? It's cloudy.It's cool.

What's the tempreature? It's twelve degrees in London.

3、 How is the weather in Guangzhou? It's rainy.It's warm.

What's the tempreature? It's nineteen degrees in Guangzhou.

4、 How is the weather in Canberra? It's sunny.It's hot.

What's the tempreature? It's thirty degrees in Canberra.

Step 4 Consolidation
