Heading B5A A continuous flat polyurethane strip, suitable foruse as belting, is cast between a pair of vertical downwardly moving conveyers 10, 13, thematerial being cured during its downward travel by heated platens 28 which press againstthe belt. The space between the belts is laterally limited by a pair of spaced apartresilient strips 30 which are drawn continuously between the belts from reels 31. Thepositions of the reels is adjustable so that the width of the cast strip may be varied. Thedistance between the belts and consequently the thickness of the strip, is varied byaltering the position of belt 13 by cranks 20 which adjust the positions of idle roller 15and driving roller 14. If desired a reinforcing web may be incorporated into the strip.
