Date Nov. 15, 1990.Thepresent invention relates to an arrangement for a load hoist comprising a load devicesupported by a lifting cable and a driver for driving the load device in a horizontaldirection. The driver is arranged to be actuated by the movement of the lifting cable inthe lateral direction in order to displace a supported load device, together with anassociated load, in an appropriate direction. The displacement may be controlled by loadpersonnel who maneuver the load device, causing the load to move in a desired direction.The invention results in simple and efficient actuation of a load hoist.
