摘要：A brake assembly for use with a portable generator includes a frame, a shaft, abrake surface, and an actuator. The frame is designed to be attached to the portable
generator. The shaft is supported by the frame, and the brake surface is connected to anend of the shaft. The actuator includes a foot pedal, a cam, and a pivot, where the pivot iscoupled to both the foot pedal and the cam and provides for rotation of the foot pedaland the cam about a portion of the frame. The cam of the actuator translates the shaftbetween a released position and a braked position during operation of the brakeassembly.
