摘要：The invention is in an improved packaging tube (110) and the packages,containing product, made therefrom. The packaging is suitable for holding productscontaining substantial fractions of cyano-acrylate-type components. The invention
depends on the use of special multiple layer sheet material (414) for the tube sidewalland a covering strip (116) over the inside surface of the tube longtitudinal sideseam (112).A layer of high density polyethylene (418) is positioned on the inside surface of the tube,such that it is the surface in direct contact with the product. A primer layer (420) having aLewis base-type component, such as polyethylene imine, is between the surface of thehigh density polyethylene layer (418) which is disposed away from the product andsubsequent layers (e.g. 422) which may be susceptible to interaction with the product.Preferred embodiments of the package use sheet materials having additional layers toprovide barrier, heat sealability, and abuse resistance properties, and the necessaryadhesive materials to hold the various layers of the structure together with goodadhesion. Additional layers are contemplated. The covering stip (116) is high densitypolyethylene, and it covers and protects the edge of the sheet material on the inside ofthe package at the tube longitudinal sideseam (112).
